The question "Why does a 'loving' God, if He is so merciful, allow things like the shooting in Aurora, Colorado to happen if He can stop it?" is one that many are asking. There is nothing I can add to the blog I just read from a lady and her 2 daughters who were in the theater at the time of the shooting. It says it all:

The Necessary Foundation
Before I really start blogging I feel I must establish one
basic and unalterable premise: the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word
of Almighty God. Everything that you
read in this blog will necessitate that you understand I am coming from that
basic truth. I realize that not everyone
has this belief. In fact it is a growing
lack of this belief that is one of the reasons why I have started this blog in
the first place.
As time goes on I will routinely make a case for the Bible
being exactly what it claims to be in this blog. But everyone who reads this must know that I
will always be coming from that conviction.
I certainly welcome debate on the topic.
I hope this blog features a lot of good debate on many great and
relevant topics pertinent to Christianity and its place in our world. I believe the Bible can certainly stand on
its own against any and all attacks that come against it. God's word has been attacked from the
beginning starting in the Garden of Eden that led to the first sin and it is no
different today.
So I welcome good debate and spirited discussion. In fact I look forward to it. So let the blogging begin…

It has been on my heart!
Well here it goes. This is something that has been on my heart for a very long time. I am jumping head first into the blogosphere and ready to tackle an area that has become increasingly strong inside of my soul.
As a believer in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and in the authority of the Word of God, my heart has been breaking because of the apparent dramatic increase in what the bible calls the "falling away" that is supposed to happen in the end times.
And what makes it worse is that it seems that we as Christians are truly being painted into a corner when it comes to declaring our faith. When I was a young Christian there was generally not a problem with declaring your faith and beliefs to a lost world. Sure many may not agree with what you had to say but you could say it. It was hard to imagine that we would live in a society that preaches "tolerance" in one breath and is trying desperately to silence the voices of Christians with everything in their power. And to a large extent that is happening.
Go out as a believer and share your uncompromised truth and watch what happens. Never has there been the level of hostility there is now to God and His Word.
But I am convinced this paradigm shift does not in any way alleviate us of the responsibility to "earnestly contend for the faith" Jude 1:3. So I feel compelled to start a blog where questions of truth can be broached and debated in the spirit of sincerely seeking to know that heart of God and the truth of His Word.
So I intend to post as I see or hear about things that come up that I believe deal with subjects relevant to our faith in the hopes of generating sincere and spirited discussion and even debate in an attempt to fulfill our scriptural challenge to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15 And also to help equip other believers to do so. God bless you as you seek Him!
